Hi, I'm Carleigh

I’m a mental warrior, adventure enthusiast, yoga teacher, and lover of travel. Mental health is my greatest passion, and my number one priority every single day. I experienced my darkest days at the age of 12 years old, struggling with crippling anxiety and depression, and planning to end my own life. Over the years, my anxiety grew into disordered eating and substance abuse, while I moved in and out of depressive episodes.

When I was 19, I experienced my only manic episode, a pivotal moment in my healing journey. I came to realize that I was not defined by the way my brain worked, and I promised myself that I would find healing.

I began a deep dive into my mind, immersing myself in nature, focusing on nutrition, and prioritizing sleep. At the age of 20, I became a yoga teacher, and have since been continuing the journey of mastering my own mind, while guiding others to do the same. 

 

These 7 pillars are the exact things that I do every single day to live a happy, healthy, high functioning life without using any medication, even with the diagnosis of bipolar disorder (among other things).

 

I promise that if you take on these 7 pillars as your priority, and make tiny lifestyle changes to incorporate them daily, you will enhance your wellbeing!

Who I am today is someone who is unconditionally in love with herself, and I’m so proud of everything that I’ve accomplished. I know that you can heal your mind, you can transform your life, and I know this because I’ve done it.

Move your body

Good old exercise! I know, I know, but hear me out! Daily movement is so essential for not only the physical health of your body, but also for your mind. Find out juicy details in this video, and enjoy an engaging yoga practice to get that body moving (or, have your own dance party, the possibilities are endless)!

Deep rest

Does anything really feel better than waking up naturally after a deep, restful, full night of sleep? Sounds impossible? I promise that with a few simple ticks and tricks (and consistency), you could be sleeping like a baby, and letting your mind process all those emotions from the day.

Eat for your mind

Did you know you have an entire nervous system in your gut? Today we’ll prioritize nutrition, and learn simple ways to increase our nutrient uptake!

Live in the moment

Mindfulness baby! How often do you find yourself worrying about the future, or complaining about the past? Our practice today only takes about 5 minutes, but you’ll be able to remind yourself to return to the present moment all throughout your day.

Appreciate beauty

Connecting with nature is one of the most calming things we can do for ourselves. This is your excuse to get outside (you can use it everyday).

Share love

Community and connection to other humans truly makes life worth living. Friends, family, and loved ones can take you from survival to thrival (ignore my spelling, you get the point).

Prioritise your self

You are the number one most important person in your life. The star of your show, the main character of your movie, and you deserve to treat yourself as such. This is your excuse to put yourself first today, and do something that truly fuels YOU!

What's Included?

- Each day, you’ll watch a short 5 minute video, explaining the why and how of the pillar for that day.


- Some of the days you’ll have a practice video included and can simply follow along, and some of the days you’ll be left with ideas or a worksheet on how to implement the practice into your day.

- Ideally, you can commit 20 minutes of time for each of the 7 days of this challenge, and the more energy you put into your healing journey, the more you’ll get out of it!
